Wait and see investors, SUN Benchmark depressed. Investors are taking a wait and see attitude, waiting for the results of BI’s RDG which is projected to raise the FFR by 25Bps-50Bps, based on a Bloomberg survey.
SUN market is mixed, amid the Sukuk auction and ahead of the BI RDG. The yield on SUN Benchmark FR91 was relatively flat at 7.41%. Meanwhile, the pressure on the price of FR90, made the yield on the 5-year SUN Benchmark to touch the level of 7%.
The Earning Results season and solid manufacturing output triggered Risk-On towards the Wall Street Stocks. DJIA gained more than 300 points, leading Wall Street’s gains, with UST2Y yields going downwards below the 4.5% level.
Investors are still digesting domestic economic data. SUN Benchmarks recorded an increase in yields at the beginning of the week. Yield FR91 rose more than 6bps to 7.41%.
The increase in Lending Rate has encouraged the NII. Earlier in the week, Wall Street opened with Gap Up and consistently stood within the Green Zone, with DJIA closing up 550 points.
Consumer Non-Cyclicals Resilience Vs. JCI weakened by 3%. The Non-Cyclicals Consumer sector was able to bear up or rose slightly by 0.03%; compared to Technology which was depressed by more than 8% and led the sectoral decline.
