The Government Securities (SUN) market moved relatively stronger on Thursday, supported by expectations of economic recovery and ahead of the release of foreign exchange reserves per July.
Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) recorded Consumer Price Index (IHK) in July to deflate by 0.1% MoM or inflation by 2.07% YoY. With that development, the ongoing year inflation from January to July 2020 is recorded at 0.98% YtD.
Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the 2Q20 period contracted -5.32%.
On the other hand, investors are still paying close attention to the release of Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data for the 2Q20 period on Wednesday (05/08), whether or not according to the consensus and projections of BI and the Ministry of Finance.
Based on a Bloomberg survey, Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the 2Q20 period is projected to contract -3.35% QoQ and -4.49% YoY respectively.
Based on DJPPR data, the total bid entered into SUN auction Tuesday (07/28) reached IDR 72.8 trillion.
